Business in the Spotlight: Harry Erasmus Art

Jun 15, 2021

Worldwide’s World Guide created a successful network to bring South Africans abroad in touch with each other so that you can support South African-owned businesses in your area. Every week, Worldwide selects one business from the World Guide to appear in the Spotlight. This week’s business in the Spotlight is Harry Erasmus Art in the Netherlands.

Harry was born in Pretoria, South Africa. He fell in love with art and everything about art at a very early age. He always chooses light and colourful art styles.

Harry is one of South Africa’s most unique artists. Born with a natural talent and with no formal training, he has learned to paint his own way. In his career as an artist, he developed and showed that he is capable of different styles. Harry is thankful for his talent.

“I don’t plan a painting. Being busy painting feels to me like an escape to a different world. A world which I can create as I please.”

Harry’s works are colourful and fun, and every time you look at them, you can see a different detail – a hidden cat, a glass of wine. He loves the movement in everything. Buildings dance to the melody of life, and for a moment people are introduced to what he calls his “whimsical” world.
