National day of prayer: Australians pray together

Apr 26, 2017

On Saturday a group of Afrikaans-speaking people gathered in Brisbane, Australia, to pray for the future of South Africa.

The event, organised by the Afrikaans Club Australia, took place at St Laurence’s College in Brisbane.

“We pray that the Lord will bring righteousness, peace and hope for our beloved South Africa,” was the theme of the gathering.

Rev Gawie van der Merwe writes: “In Perth we also arranged a gathering and had approximately 450 people (see photo) take part to pray (at the same time as Angus Buchan’s gathering) for various aspects of the situation in South Africa, with the emphasis that God must be in charge in the life of every person.”
