  • In countries where the weekend is Saturday and Sunday: 18 May 2024

Voting Out-of-Country Notice (VEC 10)

Online VEC 10 notification and application form

If you will vote at an international voting station where you are not registered to vote, you must submit an online VEC 10 special vote application by 22 April 2024 at 23:59.

Notify the IEC of your intention to vote at a South Africa diplomatic mission abroad.

Voting out of country is considered a special vote. In a change from previous years, not all voters who intend to vote out of country are required to apply for a special vote online (known as a VEC 10 application).

  • If you are registered to vote out of country and intend to vote at the accredited mission where you are registered to vote, you are NOT required to submit an online VEC 10 special vote application.
  • However, if you will vote at an accredited mission where you are not registered to vote, you must submit an online VEC 10 special vote application.

If you complete this form, you inform the Electoral Commission of your intent to vote abroad by indicating the mission at which you will be voting.
