Surely one of my biggest disillusions – in ten months back in South Africa – is how rushed, and at the same time, inwardly focussed many people are. If one doesn’t take active steps to prioritise your activities, then everything becomes important.
When everything becomes important, life moves faster and faster. For this precise reason you then neglect things that are indeed important, such as good (old and new) friends, family and your health.
Who is that one person you have the liberty to phone at 3:00 in the morning when the pawpaw hits the fan?
Take it a little easier, think and prioritise your activities. It doesn’t help if you run faster in the wrong direction. Slow down in order to speed up.
