Worldwide brings “Afrikaans is Lekker” to Australia and New Zealand

May 24, 2018

Worldwide will again be joining forces with South African Events to bring South African entertainment to South Africans in New Zealand and Australia, by acting as the main sponsor of the Afrikaans is Lekker 2018 tour.

Afrikaans is Lekker is an annual South African concert hosted by South African Events in Australia and New Zealand. Similar music events are also presented in Canada, the US, the UK and Europe.

This year, artists like Theuns Jordaan, Nianell, Refenste and Snotknop will join the tour abroad.

“It is important to us to enable South Africans to come together informally abroad so that they can still celebrate their South Africanship,” said Sue-Ann de Wet, Project Coordinator for the South African Diaspora.

The performances will take place in Auckland, Brisbane, Perth, Wellington, Sydney and Melbourne this year.

Come and sing along during the following performances:
15 June: Auckland – Theuns Jordaan, Refentse, Nianell, Margit and Jacques du Plessis
16 June: Brisbane – Theuns Jordaan, Refentse, Nianell, Margit and Jacques du Plessis
17 June: Perth – Theuns Jordaan, Refentse, Nianell, Margit and Jacques du Plessis
22 June: Wellington – Snotkop, Refentse and Nianell
23 June: Sydney – Snotkop, Refentse, Nianell and Margit
24 June: Melbourne – Snotkop, Refentse, Nianell and Margit

* Worldwide and Forum News will also be touring with the artists this year and would like to meet South Africans in Australia and New Zealand to learn more about their lives abroad. If you are willing to grant us an informal interview, please contact Sue-Ann at +27 072 049 1495 or wereldwyd@afriforum.co.za.
