Business in the Spotlight: Kaya Lodge

Jun 23, 2021

Worldwide’s World Guide created a successful network to bring South Africans abroad in touch with each other so that you can support South African-owned businesses in your area. Every week, Worldwide selects one business from the World Guide to appear in the Spotlight. This week’s business in the spotlight is Kaya Lodge in the United Kingdom.

Kaya Lodge is located in the United Kingdom and is owned by Matt and Julie.

As a family business, Kaya Lodge takes great pride in what they are offering and do their best to create a unique camping experience.

Matt has lived in Suffolk on the farm (he was born in the farmhouse) for almost all of his life.

I, Julie, was born and bred in South Africa, having moved to the UK in my mid-twenties. A huge part of my upbringing involved the ‘African bush’. I am privileged to have spent most of my childhood holidays on the family game farm and it was these memories that created the inspiration to do what we are doing. My beautiful grandmother also wrote a book of short stories of her experiences, a copy of which can be found in the tent.

Combining our unique life experiences, Matt’s deep rooted love for rural Suffolk and mine for the African bush, we put our heads together and … Kaya Lodge was born!
